You would think crunches or sit-ups would help more with your abs, but it doesn’t.  Jogging increases your heart rate and helps burn the fat cells in your mid-section.  You must jog at least 30 minutes every time you go for a jog or you won’t see any results.

Belly dancing is another great way to eliminate fat in belly areas.  Belly dancing is not only effective, but fun. It burns anywhere from 200-400 calories per hour!  Belly dancing burns fat, but also tones muscles making your stomach flat and muscular as well.

A change in your exercise as well as your diet will help you tame that tummy. Replacing alcohol with water will significantly decrease the size of your gut.  Alcohol has a ton of calories that are unnecessary.  The more calories in your diet, the more fat in your belly – hence the name “beer belly.”

Making your otherwise fast food induced diet healthier also helps with that spare tire you can’t seem to get rid of.  Reducing the amount sugar in your diet does wonders for your body. 

If you’re more of a sweet tooth, try to use both artificial and organic sweeteners to take the place of actual sugar.  Any sugar substitute will work as far as baking and coffee goes. Using honey instead of sugar in things like tea will also help greatly.

Sodium intake generally among Americans is way too high.  High sodium levels in your body make you thirstier, and the thirstier you are, the more prone you are to consume high-sugar drinks.  If you want to lose fat in belly areas, you can – you just need to make a few minor changes.
